Website uptime checker

Is your site answering right now? We ask for the homepage once and report the status code and how long the answer took.

What the words mean

HTTP 200
The code a site answers with. 200 to 399 means it answered normally. 400 and up means an error, such as 404 (page not found) or 500 (a fault on the server).
ms
Milliseconds. 1,000 ms is one second.

How this works

Anything from 200 to 399 counts as up. A response slower than 5 seconds gets flagged.

One check can't tell you about last night. That's what monitoring is for: the same question every 5 minutes, and an email the moment the answer changes.

What it can't tell you

One request from one location, so a failure may be a brief blip. Sites with bot protection may turn us away, and we report that as unknown rather than down.

Next steps

Want this checked every 5 minutes? How monitoring works.

Rather not fix it yourself? We quote per job.
